Why Does Our Company Need an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)?

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is an employer sponsored program that allows employees access to a wide range of services at no cost. The benefit for a company that implements an EAP is that it provides their employees with a place to manage difficult life situations that may otherwise interfere with job performance.  An effective EAP will also reduce absenteeism and turnover.

EAP Services Include:

  • Brief Individual Counseling
  • Personal Coaching
  • Group Counseling
  • Financial Planning
  • Caregiver Support
  • Drug/Alcohol Treatment
  • Educational Seminars
  • Marriage Counseling
  • Exercise and Nutrition, including meal planning and personal training

Employers may also refer employees who are having difficulty on the job with such things as peer relations and substance abuse
