Since 1994, Suzanne Pratt has been acquiring training and experience in a broad variety of mental health areas. Upon receiving her degree, she was employed at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Medical Center in New York. Here in Utah, she has been clinical director at Cancer Wellness House and a crisis specialist at the University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute. In addition to her work as a therapist, she serves as program consultant at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (where she was recently awarded Professional of the Year). She is an honorary clinical board member of the Utah-Idaho Chapter of the National Lupus Foundation. For these and similar organizations, she has written and presented numerous psychoeducational slide presentations and workshops on a wide variety of topics. Besides assisting people affected by chronic medical illness, Suzanne has completed training and achieved the prestigious designation of Certified Gottman Therapist and is an active member of the Relationship Center and Referral Network available on-line at www.gottman.com . In addition to providing Gottman Couples Therapy, Suzanne is available for talks at organizations, schools, churches, synagogues or professional groups on the topic The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. Additionally, Suzanne has facilitated organizational business retreats and provided executive coaching. She is a member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, the Utah Society for Social Work Leadership in Utah, Women in Private Practice, National Association of Social Workers, and various other professional organizations. |
